the school year, members of the team participate in practice skiing at Cajun Lake in Albany, Ohio.(

Fall Quarter
Fall Practice is somewhat limited
to skiers who plan on participating in the fall tournament season. There are usually
spots open to new members who do show interest in starting to ski in tournaments. Fall
practice takes place throughout the entire month of September, every afternoon and evening
that a boat driver is available. The price for fall skiing for members who paid their
dues is $9 a pull, and $18 for people who do not pay their dues.
Spring Quarter
Spring Practice is more open to
beginners, new members, and non-competitive skiers. Skiers participating in spring tournaments
do have priority, but we open up a large number of spots to new members. The team, as
well as the boat drivers, is very experienced in teaching beginners. The Water Ski Team
is dedicated to spending a lot of time teaching new members 3 event skiing (slalom,
trick, & jump.) Spring skiing usually starts around the middle of April, and continues
through the end of the quarter. We usually ski from 4:00 p.m. until dark Monday through
Friday. The price for spring skiing is usually the same as the fall rates.
The Ohio University
Water Ski Team meets
in Baker Center on Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm. If you have any questions concerning
the Water Ski Team, please feel free to contact
