Athens, OH -- The Southern Ohio Copperheads have accomplished more than any team in club history this season. But now, their historic run has finally come to an end. The Copperheads fell to the Lima Locos, 2-1, in game two of the GLSCL Championship Series, which closed a 2-0 series win for Lima.

Second Copperhead Reaches Major Leagues

Southern Ohio 2010 Regular Season in Review

It was another successful regular season at Bob Wren Stadium for the Southern Ohio Copperheads. Coach Mike Florak’s 2010 summer squad finished 23-14, placed 3rd in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League and qualified for the playoffs.

Seven Southern Ohio Copperheads will make the trip to Cincinnati on Wednesday for the 2010 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game. The game will be played at 6:35 at Western Hills High School, the home field of the Cincinnati Steam. Copperheads Head Coach Mike Florak will also be the head coach of the Red Team, which includes all seven Snakes, since the Copperheads appeared in the league championship game last season.
