Copperheads keep title hopes alive, defeat Grand Lake

Southern Ohio defeated the Mariners of Grand Lake Friday by a score of 3-2 in the third game of the GLSCL Tournament. As a result, Southern Ohio will go to the title game if Licking County defeats Lima and scores at least three runs. Updates on the Lima-Licking County game are available at our twitter page.

Southern Ohio had a chance to clinch their first-ever championship game berth, but the Copperheads fell to Lima 2-1 Thursday in Xenia. The Snakes will now need a win Friday against Grand Lake, along with some help, to get into the GLSCL Championship game.

The Copperheads took down the Licking County Settlers 5-2 in game one of the GLSCL Tournament. If the Copperheads defeat Lima Thursday at 7 p.m., Southern Ohio will clinch their first ever GLSCL title game berth.
