The Southern Ohio Copperheads have sent 40 former players into professional baseball. Tampa Bay Rays reliever Adam Russell, thus far, is the only Snake to reach the Major Leagues. This season, Russell is off to his best start of his four-year MLB career.

Southern Ohio 2010 Regular Season in Review

It was another successful regular season at Bob Wren Stadium for the Southern Ohio Copperheads. Coach Mike Florak’s 2010 summer squad finished 23-14, placed 3rd in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League and qualified for the playoffs.

Seven Southern Ohio Copperheads will make the trip to Cincinnati on Wednesday for the 2010 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game. The game will be played at 6:35 at Western Hills High School, the home field of the Cincinnati Steam. Copperheads Head Coach Mike Florak will also be the head coach of the Red Team, which includes all seven Snakes, since the Copperheads appeared in the league championship game last season.
