Retiring Copperhead’s Board Secretary and Board Member Bob Donohoe recognized at October 5th Board Meeting

By Richard Holl

Retired Ohio Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Biologist Bob Donohoe has been the Secretary to the Board of the Southern Ohio Copperheads ever since the team was envisioned nine years ago.  As our loyal scribe, Bob has accurately recorded the actions of some 65 sessions and has never missed a meeting.

The plaque he was presented reads…

Certificate of Appreciation presented in October 2009 to Bob Donohoe for his role as

Founding Member 2001, Charter Board Member 2002, Board Secretary 2002-2009

and Loyal Fan & Supporter.

The Southern Ohio COPPERHEADS gratefully recognize his lasting and continuing contribution

and devoted leadership in establishing and guiding our development during our

early seasons thereby quickly establishing our program as a premiere franchise in the

Great Lakes League and the National Alliance of Summer Collegiate Baseball.

The plaque was made from a tree formerly located on the College Green of the campus of Ohio University.

Bob and his wife Alice were also honored by Ohio University Baseball this past spring as the Bobcat Baseball Fan of the Year.  Please join us in wishing them many more years of enjoying the Copperheads and Ohio University Baseball.
